Carlos Ludlow-Palafox heads to California for Global Pouch West
2nd December 2015
Enval Founder and Managing Director, Dr. Carlos Ludlow-Palafox, is in California this week to speak at Global Pouch West, the largest pouch conference west of the Mississippi.
Representing a marketplace that comprises a fifth of all U.S. packaging, the event brings together packaging and converting companies, machinery and material suppliers, FMCGs and related professional services.
Carlos will be speaking on a panel about the end-of-life challenges for flexible packaging, joining representatives from ARGO Group, PepsiCo and Agilyx.
Flexible packaging is rapidly growing its market share, offering a number of benefits including: greatly reduced material and energy usage, and advantageous manufacturing and transportation costs. However, flexible packaging is not readily recyclable and the vast majority ends up in the landfill.
The panel will explore how various industry groups are working to promote take-back, recycling and recovery systems. Carlos will introduce Enval’s world-first process for recycling plastic aluminium laminates using microwave-induced pyrolysis.
